Mr. Narverud appraises over a half a billion dollars of tangible property annually and has conducted thousands of appraisals for commercial, industrial and institutional clients. He has been engaged full time as a Machinery and Equipment Appraiser since 1983. Mr. Narverud served as the Chairman of the International Board of Examiners of the American Society of Appraisers and is an Emeritus Member of the Society’s Machinery and Technical Specialties Committee.

History

Narvco Enterprises, Inc. (1988 – Present)

As President of Narvco Enterprises, Inc., Mr. Narverud is involved many aspects of valuation including: Litigation, Financing, Taxation, Allocation, Insurance, Leasing, Liquidation, Bankruptcy and Eminent Domain. He has appraised a wide variety of plant machinery and equipment with emphasis on health care, manufacturing, agriculture – farming and processing, and technology. He has served as an expert and testified on a number of cases. He is recognized as an expert by various county, state and federal courts in California, Nevada, Illinois, and Washington, D.C.

Valuation Associates, San Mateo, CA – Partner (1988 – 1996)

Performed machinery and equipment appraisals for regional industrial, commercial and institutional clients. Responsibilities included marketing and management of small to midsize appraisal projects.

Arthur Andersen, LLC – Appraiser (1986 – 1988)

Served as a senior staff appraiser in the tax department of the firm’s San Francisco office. Involved in the preparation of Machinery and Equipment appraisals for Fortune 100 and 500 corporations. Responsibilities also included the creation of the office’s valuation library and training of junior staff. Developed Newavetm Valuation Software, a trending tool implemented firm-wide for desktop valuations. Participated in the firm’s Pilot Appraisal Training Program.

Marshall and Stevens, Inc. (1983 – 1986)

Served as a staff appraiser performing appraisals of machinery and equipment for industrial, commercial and institutional clients.
